“ Good food fast service Never fail when I need some comfort food Love love love their chicken pho I can eat it all day long Have been eating these for years never disappointed me I was there last night and noticed the new menu which I'm going to post it ”
“ I can't believe this place exists! I come all the way from the city just to have their breakfast combos. Nothing in the city is as comparable to this place and its price point. (If there is, someone let me know please.) Their pho uses the flat noodles which is my absolute favorite. Everyone who works here is super busy but extremely polite. Usually on weekends, it's packed with local aunties and uncles. ”
“ Venturing out here isn't my norm these days, especially with the weekday traffic from the City. When my family's accountant called to tell me that our tax returns were ready for pick up, we arranged to meet on a Sunday morning and have breakfast here. On that morning, he texted me that he forgot about a brunch appointment so I went there anyway to have breakfast before stopping by his office. When I arrived a little after 9 am, the restaurant was half full with some uncleared empty tables. When I caught the waitress' eyes, I pointed towards an empty table in the center area. It turned out one side of the table was occupied but the diner went to the counter to get something. When the gentleman sat down, he kindly pulled his side of the table apart from mine to create two separate tables. For breakfast, there is a one page, two-sided menu (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q&select=20jSnTdsy-IFloFQusYbeg) and (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q&select=qBOvwUg7RTAfmzaZiOTNEQ). After a quick study, I ordered the ham & egg with macaroni breakfast special (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q&select=AszO_PHLdr8REoeqtaN_fA) which comes with a choice of hot coffee or HK milk tea (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q&select=llQou2UJ_aqonc2h9kVVHg). It's a $1.00 to have either drink iced. It was a basic bowl with two large lettuce leaves. Everything was straightforward as nothing really stood out. I must admit that, being in Millbrae, I was surprised that the ham was two large slices of cold meat cuts. Not wanting to ask for a fork and knife to cut them into bite size pieces, I alternated bites of the four solid ingredients (ham, egg, lettuce, and macaroni) using my chopsticks. The milk tea was standard with a small pool of condensed milk on the bottom so make sure to spoon it up and stir to get a balance mix of flavors. I didn't need anything as everything that I ordered and needed was already on the table. I noticed several entering customers experiencing long waits for a table or to order until 9:30 am. Apparently, that's when a 2nd waitress starts her shift. The food and service was okay but I'm bumping it up a half star for its reasonable pricing for breakfast and the variety of options. ”
“ Solid. Food: I've had the pho once to-go & as long as you heat up the broth first and fill up the bowl, it's flavorful & not at all monotonous like many SF adjacent spots. What I love most is the different fried rice variations. Veggie or the Pineapple Chicken Fried Rice especially. Light on flavor yet feels complex. They use Hainan chicken which gives it the nostalgic vibe. Service: It's a Chinese spot what are you expecting Ambiance: see above. Come here for food. Expect food. ”
“ I've been coming to Chicken Pho You for many years now. My mom always order the tomato shrimp cake noodle soup and I usually order their pork spring rolls and pork, shrimp cake, egg and vermicelli plate. The prices are fair and the food usually comes out quickly and hot. Recommend if you're looking for decent food with no frills. ”
“ The #2 Chicken Noodle Soup with Chicken Intestines (pho ga non) was fine and would have it again. The broth was not nearly as bad as other reviewers mentioned. It comes with plenty of shredded chicken and gizzards but no liver pieces, and a side of lemon and jalapenos slices (add some fish sauce and use for dipping). The #A3 Fresh Spring Rolls has shrimp and grilled pork, which is not common. Skip it if preferred made with boiled pork slices or get the #A4 shrimp only. Also, there is not enough dipping sauce for such large rolls. Will return to try various Steam Rice Noodle Rolls that's only available 8am - 1am. Service was fine and not overly attentive, so you might have to flag down someone if you need something. Located not far from the Millbrae exit off 101, and street parking was easy. You'd have to walk a block or two at worst. ”
